Bee-Bots: an unplugged #hourOfCode in Year 1B

Bee-Bot is an exciting floor robot designed for use by young children. This colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool for teaching sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and just having fun!

As part of the computer science education week, Year 1 B students worked in groups on programming special floor robots to move along a path they specify through directional instructions, and get to a target they decide.

The bee-bots create a great deal of excitement and intrigue. Through play, students interacted, communicated, explored, engaged with each other and most importantly, realized that programming is so much fun!

Soon after the midterm break, Year 1A as well as Year2 students are also going to experiment with those little bee-bots, so stay tuned for more!
