On Friday, we had our very first “Mechanical Lego” club session at ARIS Primary – a fun and educational program whose goal is to enrich and educate children in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics basics using an ‘edu-tainment’ approach.
The program establishes educational goals that are achieved by combining digital and hands-on learning platforms with custom designed LEGO assembly kits uniquely designed and developed by Young Engineers.
Seventeen Young Engineers were thrilled to join the club on Friday and got to build the spring-powered race car model. They were introduced to the Young Engineers Lego kit and the naming system of blocks and bricks. Tackling the concept of transmission, students used pulleys and belts and tested their cars using a powered engine.
Here’s a sneak peek of our excitement!
And a boomerang of our race cars!
